I suspect they are anticpiating, or at minimum fearing worst case scenarios post-release. Sort of premeptive manuever.

I was under the impression ICE is doing mostly catch and release these days. I would think these folks were locked up for a good reason. That may be why the WH is tap dancing so fast now.
