I think you missed the point. The government spends about $188 million per day of which 46 cents on a dollar is borrowed. $85B is just the beginning. We have to get rid of 1/2 the government to be able to afford them at all.
You have obviously given this a lot of thought and your post reflects it. I agree with just about everything you said with the exception of “There is not one damn thing Obama can do to stop it, even if he does utilize sound and sane economic policy relative to tax and spending.” I’m still mulling that part over.
The problems we are now facing and will continue to face belong not just to Obama, but the entire Congress, the SCOTUS AND Obama.
Regardless of whether Obama gets the sequester or not, he will blame the ‘Pubbies; blame they have largely earned by NOT speaking up, NOT staying true to their conservative roots and NOT going to the American taxpayers and saying “this is what the Democrats are REALLY doing . . . . . . “ By FAILING to protect America from the Marxists pigs, they have betrayed their oath of office and their obligation to the Founders to ensure that, if the Founders could come back to America today, they would find an America better than the one they left.
Absent a civil or revolutionary war, there are steps that can be taken that may still preserve the remnants of America and allow us to restore the country to the beacon of freedom the Founders envisioned. What I am thinking of is for the red states to secede, re-form as the America the Founders created and ban ANY Democrats, leftists, liberals, or takers from living in OUR America.
“If you don’t work, you don’t eat.” That was the credo of the first Pilgrim settlers and should be the credo of the new America, excepting only those who are mentally or physically incapable of working. I have other suggested changes on my about page here at FR.
At the end of the day, I have to agree with you that our future is already written. If not secession, civil, race or revolutionary war is likely staring at us from the not too distant future. Our government is irreparably broken and CANNOT be fixed at the ballot box. Too many here think it can. I am convinced, as I think you are, that we are beyond that point.
The only question now is, what emerges afterward? Will there be a new America, two Americas (one for liberals and one for conservatives), or any America at all? We know that we can survive the future as a free an independent nation, but is there the will to do so?

From Sequestration to Stimulus; from Benghazi to bullets, this entire Admin., the WH Mussolini on the Potomac to Reid-Pelosi have been frauds and scams. But...as long as 53% of the Moron Voters prop these leftist Dems up, the dice are tossed. No one nowadays , especially with the MSM as Progressive lap dogs, can stop this bunch from making us a socialist state. If you need an understanding, then go to the Democratic Underground and start a discussion about right to life, or the benefits of capital punishment. I don’t think you can see that given enough time and “evidence” I could convince you that the earth is flat. The idea that Bush knew and the government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks is just false. What do you think about the conspiracy of Obama and his Admin. orchestrated the attacks on Benghazi? They certainly didn’t take them seriously, but they most certainly conspire and to be complicit in the attacks. Try to examine a minimum of 5 alternative sources of information before you make up your mind instead of only ones that further your conspiracy theory.
