Patrick had a good race, decent finish,

Decent? Top 10 is impressive. Look at the former winners who finished behind her.

You’re welcome. I got back from church in time to catch the last 58 laps.

We’ll see what happens next week. If I end up starting the live thread again, it’ll be without the fancy graphics Norm did. Thanks to everyone who showed up!

Doesn’t matter, as long as the over hyped and over rated Danica wrecks and doesn’t finish the race is all I care about. If she were a male racer, she wouldn’t get the attention she is. Makes me sick as do those who fall for the hype.

Poor baby, your day is ruined. Top Ten finish for a rook is very good for a man. Whoa! Wait! This gal has more testerone than usconservative. And a lot more estrogen too.

When I see anyone come from open wheel to NASCAR I am impressed. It takes a whole nother style to fit into NASCAR type racing and she is squeezing her way in without anywhere near the problems Montoya has. She was able to keep it out of the wall and finish in the top ten. I would has wrecked the car in the first lap.

I don’t see her winning races this season but I do see the top ten slots as being something she’s capable of. When I look at Mark Martin and all his experience it is obvious luck and skill are the winning combination for NASCAR.

Most of the race I thought she’d get top 5 for sure, but 8th is excellent.

My local boy Logano ended ahead of Gordon, way down in 19th. He was in and out of the top 10.

Think Nobama ordered the DOD to end flyovers?

LOL.. No.
Probably the local air quality management district.

Did you know Obammer supported secastration before he opposed it? and to think sKerry is Sec’y of Wimps...

I can’t wait ‘til Leon Panetta goes back to saving the oceans.

NASCAR allows only four-speed manual transmissions. State-of-the-art race cars like the Formula Ones have used automatics for years.

Decent, but she was hesitant several times, especially at the end.
I can totally understand that, lots of pressure not to wreck, lots of pressure not to lose a top ten finish.
Don't think she trusted Biffle or Dale Jr. to follow her down to the inside to help her make her move.
The inside was clear a couple of times and she hesitated, maybe for good reason.

We’ll be lucky if we still have a country left after the next 4 years.

I’m sure you are just a little better as a man. Get out there and take her place. According to you she doesn’t belong out there. Are you sure you are not a dem?

There are some sports where you don’t have to be a man to win. Nascar is one of them. Football, baseball, basketball, combat, firefighter, etc. Yes men will be needed.

Nascar proves you don’t need to be a man to race cars. Even a dainty little woman can beat the men. lol. I only watched to see Danica race. I hardly EVER watch Nascar.

Well, OK but google any race driver you want, and I dare it to be as colorful as this

Google Danica Patrick

all things being equal nobody has the search results that Danica has.

as for the rest...

my diaper is dry but my prior comment still holds true

But what really takes the cake for me is when Conservatives “turn on each other” unnecessarily.

but what do I know

from a profile page, here...

However you will also note that F-1 eliminated electronic driver aids like anti-lock brakes and traction control because they wanted to make the driver a larger element of the sport.

You’ve been on FR for quite a while and for whatever reason I had considered you to be an adult. I just love the way you have allowed a tiny, 30 year old girl to absolutely ruin your day. You remind me more and more of a teenager than you do a serious thinking adult.

Thank you!

...Glad I didn't join the thread today.

If Biffle or Danica has tried to dive down in front of Jr & Martin it wouldn't have been pretty. ...and that's exactly what Biffle said in the post race interview.

Geaux Jimmy!

Seems somebody sure got his panties in wad today! ...Too funny!

Your bench was a top 5 FR finish easily.

I got my butt kicked as well. Better luck next week.

Oh yeah. Car technology has become such that the emphasis in racing is how to keep the vehicles from being airborne or killing all the drivers. F1 has a huge set of limitations on technology, maybe more than NASCAR.

I believe F1 is shrinking engine size again next season.
