Some sort of systemic sepsis?
Pretty fast death for a young person? Probably an autopsy is next.

Meningitis?

Sounds more likely than TB. Meningitis comes on suddenly and with a very high fever and can kill very quickly. There was a college student here in my area who recently died of Meningitis. By the time they took him to the hospital, it was sadly too late. And it really freaked out my niece as all her kids, including the one in college came down sick around the same time that story was being reported. The all had high fevers and were complaining about body aches including neck pain and she called the doctor and he advised waiting a few days before bringing them in. The doctor thinks they either had the flu or a bad chest cold but then they all got ear and sinus infections and so she ended up taking them all in anyway.
