They did the Franck “Panis Angelicus” at my mother’s funeral in 2002. Almost had a train wreck, but the soprano improvised her way out of it and ended successfully.

The Franck Panis is another of my most cherished works, one that I have sung many times. I have requested it be sung for the Communion in my funeral Mass, whenever that may occur.

Domingo, as well as being a great Tenor, strikes me as being a genuine nice guy. From what I have heard, he always engages the supporting people - musicians, crew, etc. Not like some of our great talents, who couldn't be bothered with the "little people."
