I don’t know why our side cant make common sense policy and then go out and sell it. Instead of weighting it on defense. Spread the cuts across all discretionary spending evenly. Pass it. Sell it. If it goes nowhere in the senate rail on the senate and White House for inaction.

This is getting ridiculous. This new strategy is what they should have done two years ago...pushing the senate to act. Pre-election, it would have put the pressure on the democrats to act. Now, boehner changed to this strategy...which is admittedly better, but the timing is wrong. The president is using the absence of a plan to blame us. Put Ted Cruz in a 2 minute commercial and play it during evening TV. Do something original for Gods sake.

Given the political reality that cutting social benefits is not going to fly in the Senate, the current sequester is the least of all possible evils.

And its better than raising taxes which would damage the economy. Since the Democrats won’t negotiate changes to the current law, its best to let things be.

Let the Obama Administration take the political heat for the coming budget cuts. They agreed to them and now they should be made to keep their side of the bargain.

I like Rush Limbaugh’s take on it: For the first time in our memory, a president has total non-ownership of the economy, and all current events for that matter. This is unprecedented. No matter what happens, this clown is always held blameless.
