Why aren’t these hypocrites handing in all their guns to the police like they want the rest of us do? What are they, right wing anti-government extremists?
I don’t doubt he’s right.
I’m just saying that I’m suspicious that they hired the *protestors*.
wouldn’t be the first time
The hostage taking, and killings, happened 40 miles north of me. They waited for the guy to come out after he got hungry, and he is now sitting in prison. They didn’t lob tear gas.
So you are fine with police being judge, jury, and executioners if they feel the need? This isn’t about killing a suspect to stop them from harming others. They had the guy holed up in a house isolated on a mountain. He wasn’t going anywhere.
Again, I don’t care that he died. I do care about the two standards of justice in play. In short, hurt a cop or their immediate family, and you die. Hurt a non cop, and they might go after you, if they feel like it.
Clearly wrong
Wrong? Littering is wrong. Premeditated, cold-blooded murder is abhorrent.
OK And standing over a perp and allowing him to bleed to death as they did in the BOA robbery is evil. And by the way, it is safe to call abhorrent behavior wrong.
how many here support aggressive action in Afghanistan
That is military action in a war zone. Let’s keep focus on the subject, Dorner.
So leveling a village and killing famalies is ok. Got it. My point is that if service members are held to a higher standard of conduct under more trying circumstances than police officers then something is very wrong. Most cops are typical government employees who are simply trying to collect benefits and a pension.
clearly they have acted that way in the past.
Past actions then would indicate that every citizen intends to kill a cop. Is that logical?
They is a reflexive pronoun referring back to the LAPD. And yes, the LAPD has a poor record.
Personal experience and from strong acquaintances who are cops who openly express desires to kill and harm
In other words your opinion is based on nothing more than your experience and a limited number of acquaintances. Have you ever been incarcerated?
My experience is based on endless stories about cops acting in their own self interest and not in that of the victim or the public. I know many firefighters and cops who take whatever they want from a crime or accident scene believing the insurance will cover it. There is an extremely fine line between the conduct of most law enforcement and that of criminals and many cops cross that line.
Aren't we discussing the Dorner incident?
So you are fine with police being judge, jury, and executioners
Who was executed besides an unarmed young woman and her fiance?
This isnt about killing a suspect to stop them from harming others.
Are you claiming he hadn't killed others and intended to kill more?
In short, hurt a cop or their immediate family, and you die
Those of us who never have should be immortal? Murder is against the law and when you start shooting at cops resisting arrest, you've made the choice to most likely die.
Have you ever been incarcerated?
I believe you lack the focus.
Never said Dorner was a good guy. Clearly a bad one, but what about his supervisor? Good or bad? What about the LA cops that are impounding or out right stealing weapons without just cause? Good or bad? What about the guy that guy who flew the plane into the IRS building a couple of years ago? Good or bad?
Many cops have agendas, it is just funny to me that one of their own turned on them and gave them hell. I am as ammused by this as when Muslims kill one another or harm one anothers families.
My point is posters here view Dorner’s actions as bad because they are Dorner’s actions. The same actions perpetrated by another against some other government agency meet with approval here.
I never claimed you did.
what about his supervisor? Good or bad?
Is his supervisor responsible for him being a cold-blooded murdering POS?
Many cops have agendas
Is that so? Can you state what they are and where you garnered your information?
Were you ever incarcerated?
