but right now “rich” districts can spend additional money on themselves that won’t be allowed if the state controls the tax rates and they can’t add to what the states doles out to them.
We are going to end up with lowest common denominator schools statewide.

IIRC Robin Hood went after the tax collectors to return the money to the people, it's a shame the tale got twisted to taking money from the rich to the poor.
BTW, say NO to this, this is one of the pluses Texas has over many States. Anyhoo, funding public education, you might as well take the money and toss it into rathole.
