What gives him the right to call it anything? Does he actually have that much power? Something happens and he has the power to name it? Ft Hood was workplace violence? Then so was 911.

He has the legal right to characterize it because he's the Commander in Chief of the military. However, calling treason and terrorism "workplace violence," is treason itself because he's not enforcing the treason clause of the Constitution that directly describes what Hasan did and the Illegal's oath of office requires him to uphold the Constitution.
