Years ago I saw first hand the rougher communities that LAPD serves (with very few cops per capita compared with NYPD). I was young, foolish and in love. I was lucky to have not been killed.
Since then, things have only gotten worse. There are legions of gang bangers, and by that I mean multiples of 6,000.
LAPD has a herculean task in keeping order. Too many of its crtics have clue how dire the situation is like in SoCal.

I live in a rural community in the South and the sheriff has our blessing to crack heads to keep the peace...needless to say the peace is kept.
...I want to feel for the urban jurisdictions up far North and out far West who not only have to deal with crime but a fashionable criminal culture that confounds the bad/good guy relationships of law enforcement...
...but I can't...their people are stupid...so it sux to be them... they can keep voting for Democrats and crime as long as they stay the Hell away from my country!!!
