Just good old plain hubris to think that mankind can stop the Earth from doing its thing.
The whole global climate change scam is sold based on the presumption that everything should stay the same, for the convenience of the individual.
There is no doubt that we affect the local ground temperature. The biggest contributors to local 'interference' with 'normal' temperatures are the giant heatsinks (parking lots, roads and highways), gas engined vehicles, and climate control systems (ACU, etc).
Other than that, the global climate is a complex mixture of effects from The various energies from the Sun, their effect on the Magnetic field of the Earth, the Jetstream (which is deflected by the Magnetic fields), and the results of uneven heating and cooling due to moisture in the air, changes in land topography, and probably some other factors we don't yet understand. Local variances may affect weather/climate locally, but that variance is only within parameters established by the effects beyond our control.
Bottom line, you are correct.
