Not too long ago at all. In fact it has happened in my own lifetime. ;)
The whole “let’s record IT for the internet” is a relatively new event that still escapes me.
Exactly, wasn’t that long ago; but people, even here, don’t seam to realize the disconnect. This would have been nothing but a shaming moment in those years past.
It’s not even a ‘for the internet’ thing. It could be recorded for personal use, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t get out one way, shape or form. Problem is still too many laws, not enough common sense and an over-bearing, hyper sensitive judicial system.
IMHO, it’s why their is such disdain for anything gov’t. The punishment is so out of whack for the ‘crime’.
