Since such a body would shatter the current method of governance in DC, I can't imagine any current member attempting to push such a notion. I'm not saying it's either a concrete good or bad idea, but would be interesting to study. My concern would be whether having such a massive body would be productive or conducive to better government. Having more elected officials at the federal level, however, may be a hard sell to Conservatives.

Several studies have been conducted and concluded that it would reduce overall cost of government since lobbying would be less effective and thus less likely to influence pork in spending bills.
If for no other reason, this should be entertained to increase the power of WE THE PEOPLE.
Idealism aside, I understand this is a fool’s gambit but I won’t stop advocating for it.
