Reminder: Under California Gov Pete Wilson and AG Dan Lundgren, they required ALL SKS rifles be registered and Lundgren publicly promised no effort to confiscate would follow. In the second year of that mandated registration Lundgren ordered all SKS rifles be turned in to the state or anybody caught with one will go to jail and pay a hefty fine. This crap is not going to stop until these scallywags feel some sort of pain (backlash) for their legislating away our liberties. NAZI BASS TERDS

I have a different memory of these events. AG Dan Lungren silently refused to enforce this law and self registration was completely ignored by the gun owners of Cal. It had the state Dems in an uproar for years. Dan held up his hands, shrugged, and stonewalled....

Dan Lungren later became a US Rep, one of the House’s more Conservative members. He became a thorn in the Dem’s side especially Pelosi’s.... She targeted Dan’s seat, along with 9 other seats held by Conservatives for defeat by lefty losers and the Dems spent huge amounts of money trying to turn the district.

After 6 years of trying with no success, Dan’s district was redistricted and he lost to a crackpot Democrat far lefty named Amni Bera, who had been hand picked by Pelosi 4 years ago, losing his first attempt in 2010. No problem a little redistricting and voter fraud solved that!

No wonder we continuely lose we keep eating our own.....I know about me..... but are you sure you’re a Conservative?????

IIRC, it was democrat AG Bill Lockyer who ‘reinterpreted’ the law and ordered the SKS confiscation. Confiscation was always intended by the law...they just didn’t say that up front—they never do.

LESSON: Registration ALWAYS leads to confiscation.

That only applied to the ChiCom SKS rifles that used AK47 detachable magazines. Lundgen allowed those to be registered in the 1st year after the deadline passed, but that decision was overturned and left the owners high and dry.

In CA.....they required ALL SKS rifles be registered .

If I had a SKS, it may NOT have a detachable magazine but it may be loaded with stripper clip,.... IF I had a SKS.
