I am really impressed with the super-transparent canopy material - one would think if they went through so much trouble on the paintwork/skin of that “plane” that they would try to make the canopy material at least something one could see through in flight... that thing would present nothing but nasty glare in daylight flight, and image distortion at night.
The canopy brace is used to prevent accidental closure of the canopy. Canopies are extremely heavy. It also protects the exposed portion of the actuator.
I think this is a mock-up hence the brace.
Looks like an old 5 inch floppy drive plugged into the the top of the instrument panel too.
