His body was buried in a friary that was subsequently "disappeared" (levelled) by Henry VIII.
The location of the friary was lost to time. It was only rediscovered through modern research methods, archaeology and good luck.
There are a lot of famous people whose graves will never be found because they and any markings indicating location, were deliberately destroyed. General Braddock, for instance.
