Top executive compensation $319k. Ahh, yes, many six figure salaries for alphabet soup positions, always a bad sign.
I was aware of WWP's executive compensation and used to recommend Fisher House as an alternative.
But when I looked them up a few months ago on Charity Navigator, I discovered their CEO made $393,850 in 2011 ... not bad since FH lost $17 million that year.
Since the VA does a fairly good job of helping vets, I always wondered why all these private organizations were around. Now I know.

These charity salaries need to be corrected. In a way, it’d be a completely different matter if we were talking about those who founded the organization and spent decades in tireless efforts to volunteer, organize and fund raise. I wouldn’t object to these huge salaries, as they earned it. I wouldn’t have to object as these people would never imagine soaking that much of the organizations resources into their personal financial gain.

But these alphabet soups who are hired in after the organization is established just drain the various charities of valuable funds for their personal enrichment.
