Actually, I think that (putting on my tin foil hat) that there are more sophisticated ways of getting innocents to murder on behalf of government agencies. Hypnotism, drugs, and outright assassination seems to be employed.

There is a movie called "Telefon" with Charles Bronson a number of years back. Moles are activated by a telephone message to commit mass murder. Unfortunately, it may not be far from the truth. But why does it only have to be the CIA?

The left in this country has shown itself to be connected to organized crime too. Assassination isn't only the property of intelligence organizations. These organizations are well financed and have motive too. It was Lyndon Johnson who introduced the first national gun control directives, along with Medicare. He expanded the Viet Nam war and brought in left leaning idiots that used that war to hammer our military. Yes, this has been going on a long time, but IMHO one has to expand their focus. :(
