What is that plume of smoke shooting out the side of the barrel?

It'sa vented barell that cuts down on recoil and the front end rising. Trouble is that most are vented on both sides, not just one so there should be two plumes of smoke.

As I noted on the earlier thread, why is he shooting over the road? Also someone mentioned that the grass and trees are way to green to be taken in winter.

That's a compensator - but I don't know why it's only smoking out one side - you can see the vents on this side, but no smoke.

I gotta coupla other observations --

He's only got one choke (on the top barrel). What gives widDAT?

He's got way too much finger in the trigger - and way too much hand on the fore-end.

If he were shooting skeet, the barrel wouldn't be horizontal with the ground. Even on a low house 3 or 4, a novice might start with the muzzle fairly low, but he wouldn't (or shouldn't) fire at that point.

His head is way too low on the comb, looks like he can't even look down the rib because the receiver's in the way. Probably all he can see is the back of the receiver.

But the real stupid thing is that half the buttplate is waving in the air - he is way out of the "pocket", the natural resting place for the shotgun between your arm and chest. If he actually shot for more than one photo-op, he would be black and blue and have his arm in a sling.

His stance is all wrong too, he's leaning back and the shot probably dumped him on his fanny if it wasn't a blank (or .410).

Conclusion: this is a flippin' photo-op, they grabbed a shotgun out of the rack, never noticed a choke was missing, and they tried to coach him but he just couldn't hold the shotgun right.

The barrel is ported so that propellant gasses can escapt and reduce recoil and barrel jump. Only problem is that there are two sets of holes in a ported barrel, one on each side and I see only one whiff of smoke.

“Pull!”

“Uhmm... Mr. President, you’re actually supposed to... Oh, never mind. Excellent shot, sir.”
