HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The sight of Army helicopters and the sound of gunfire created a lot of concern Monday afternoon in one Houston neighborhood.
We received a lot of phones calls, Tweets and Facebook posts from worried neighbors, wondering what was going on.
SkyEye 13 HD was over the south side where at first look, it appeared there was a massive SWAT scene happening.
With military helicopters flying above her southeast Houston neighborhood, Frances Jerrals didn't know what to think.
"When you see this, you think the worst. When you hear this, you think the worst," Jerrals said.
And so, she passed along her concern.

For what good reason they may do it?
A show of strength to pre-terrify urban inhabitants. It makes confiscation and purges so much easier.
Hmmm.... Makes you wonder: why so close to a large population center? The military usually wants to practice in areas well away from prying eyes and ears (Area 51?). What could be so interesting in SE Houston for them to use that area? I wonder if any of the grunts participating in the “drills” wondered the same thing? Just getting us ready for Martial Law, I guess.
I'll bet that numb-nut will be one of the first ones led into the re-education "camp" they set up, smiling all the way: "It's for the children!"
Maybe Gov Perry or AG Gregg Abbott can find out.
This is how they do it in Syria.
I am NOT liking this. Bad omens.
agree but I don’t think it will make confiscation earier, perhaps even harder...
Yea, a bit chilling. Miami, Houston. I read elsewhere that Nashville is on the schedule for this type of exercise, I believe on Thursday of this week.
I would hope that someone inside this administration would have enough of a conscience to tell us what the Marxist truly has planned.
Apparently Martial Law.
Gonna need it when the EBTs don't get refilled, and he blames whitey.
ping
I can see the arch over the camps now.
It won’t read “Arbeit Macht Frei”.
It will read “Es ist fur die Kinder.”
They are extremely lucky that someone that was a little jumpy didnt decide to start firing live rounds back at them.
Sooner or later, if they keep holding these unannounced drills, in highly populated areas, while firing blanks. Someone is going to get real confused and open return fire with real bullets.
.. Or, maybe, thats the idea .
Recap-----Homeland Security purchases 1.2 billion rounds of 9 mm caliber ammunition.
------Homeland security states the biggest terrorist threat comes from southern militia-types.
-------Recent reports of Obama asking officers in the military if they would/or would not fire on Americans, if ordered.
-----Now this-lowflying, simulated firefights in heavily populated urban centers with military/law enforment.
Taken alone, perhaps no one of these is determitive. But all of them? Together? What the hell is going on in this country now?
It also makes distraction of what this administration and those connected so much easier. Kind of like that Jodie girl who murdered her boyfriend changes outfits 2 or 3 times daily. That is an old lawyer trick example a lawyer who wears a plaid jacket, bow tie or weird hair. It’s done to distract so all you will not be paying attention to anything but the object of the distraction. If the jury at the Casey Anthony trial had been using common sense and paying more attention instead of the lies her lawyer was spinning and the circus he created; she might not have gone free.
Sand, can you confirm the Nashville exercise? If you have a link, I’d be grateful.
Beck had this covered back in July when they were doing training in St. Louis. An excerpt - but much more info. at the link.
In the segment, Beck notes that The Blaze TV staff contacted former army Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin to see just how routine this sort of training was. Lt. Gen. Boykin said it was bizarre and that, generally, trainings conducted in cities kept a low profile and didnt interrupt daily activities.
