I think you’re responding to the wrong poster; I don’t see how that relates to anything I’ve posted on this thread.
The response was to the person who insinuated that anyone without a college degree has no right to a decent income and a happy life, regardless of his offerings to society. Those are people that I hate with a passion and would eliminate if I could...
Don't think that was you...
“The response was to the person who insinuated that anyone without a college degree has no right to a decent income and a happy life, regardless of his offerings to society.”
I’ll be the first to say a college degree has been cheapened to the point where it doesn’t guarantee anything at all; white-collar work is being exported in the same way manufacturing jobs have been for decades. I’m personally in a quandary where my sons are reaching an age where decisions have to be made; I feel there is much more of a living in trades than college degrees. It is very risky for a young person today to invest four years (and all that money) in college when it is so easy for companies to either send the work overseas or import cheap labor to undercut salaries here.
“Those are people that I hate with a passion and would eliminate if I could...”
Bit harsh there; it DEFINITELY wasn’t me...
