Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel are parting ways, according to a report in Real Clear Politics. After three years as a paid contributor for the channel, FNC and the former Republican vice presidential nominee have decided to cut ties.
A source close to Palin told Real Clear Politics that it was the governors decision not to renew their contract.
*Its my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement, the source close to Palin told RCP. She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.

well, we just ran a ticket of two guys that had gravitas coming out their a—, and they got crushed.
so...I don’t really know that having gravitas matters.
If the economy tanks on Obama in 2015-2016 like it tanked on Bush in 2007-2008 she or any other Republican would waltz into the WH.
The media didn’t crucify Newt. He won big in SC and had all the momentum in the world, then he failed to put Romney away in 2 debates and started talking about the Moon.
I’m not saying she, wouldn’t overcome it, but I don’t know. I don’t see why she wouldn’t have just as a good a chance as Christie, Rubio, Jeb Bush, Santorum, whoever else you want to name.
I think if she does run, it’ll be similar to what would have happened if she ran last time. All or nothing. Either she’ll acquit herself well and do fine in the debates and will win going away...or she’ll completely implode and flame out a la Rick Perry. There won’t be an in between.
Government school graduate, I assume.
Palin has never had anything but a positive effect on conservative politics, your statement is nonsense.
Palin was the bright spot of the 2012 rino Romney disaster, she gave us Cruz and our only Senate seat pickup.
“I dislike FoxNews almost as much as I do CNN. Good for Sarah!”
Yep. I never watch Fox since 2009 as all/most of their commentators are effing’ RINOS.
Governor Palin was a successful and popular Governor, with consistent approval in the 80s, even reaching 93%.
Governor Romney was a failed Governor, who had to give up on reelection, who weakened his state party, and who left office with 34% approval, leaving the seat to the democrats.
He followed that up with losing to Mike Huckabee and McCain, and then to Jimmy Carter the II, he was a goof ball cult guy, who’s money has never been able to buy him gravitas.
I'd be happy if she ran for the Senate against Begich in 2014.
I recently saw the transcript of her rather embarassing answer to a question about what she read to stay informed about national/international events. It sounded similar to what happened with Perry when he was asked about the 3 departments he would eliminate. If that was a true reflection of her self informing methodology, she may not have had enough content to sustain her FOX gig.
Mark Levin, Rush, Hannity..I listen to/watch these three men daily. There are other conservatives worthy of listening/viewing time, but these three occupy my time to the fullest. Hats off to you Mark, Shawn, Rush (who has of late been quite clever on how to approach the culture (those who follow Hollywood, sports, etc.) and bring in listeners to his show, who would otherwise not be listening.
OOPS! Forgot to add one more name and that is Glenn Beck. I listen to his radio show daily...and watch him daily as well. All of these folks have something to contribute..each is different and yet the same in their fervor to get the conservative word out, inform and inspire others to do the same.
I was sorry she didn’t stick it out the last year-plus too, but it wasn’t the press in Alaska that caused her to quit.
She’s the most talented pol we’ve had for a couple of decades, so I’d back her in a run, but I wish she’d take something like an international energy think tank gig on the side for a couple of years to bolster her substance cred and stay away from the reality TV stuff.
“FR and Rush are pretty much all I need.”
Yup. Ditto for us. Since the election, we haven’t watched more than five hour (total) of news coverage — and most of that was by flipping through while channel surfing. I like Levin, but never seem to connect with his broadcasts and forget to listen via his site. Sometimes I can get through most of “The Five”, but then Beckel or Bushbot dingbat Perino will open a piehole and ... “’bye!”.
The more bimbos Fox adds to the lineup, the more awful it becomes.
A better combo would be Palin and West. (IMHO.)
“I would have donated money to help keep her viable.”
Then why didn’t you? My sister donated to a couple funds (at least) to help her out.
How ironic that this news comes on the very morning I’m driving to the cable service center to hand in my cable box. Ironic!
I didn’t hop on her band wagon as soon as the rest of her swooning fan club. I was considering her and BAM she was gone! Why didn’t you donate to her?
I don't want a Republican, I want a Conservative...
I don't want a Republican, I want a Conservative...
“FoxNews can be content with Rove and Kucinich, who seem a better fit, considering the putrid direction the network been heading.”
Don’t forget bob beckel, shep smith, and BOR.
With both Hannity and O'RINO endorsing illegal alien amnesty, that is exactly right.
This could be a good move by Sarah, if she is trying to get more active in politics. I also think it is good to tell Fox to buzz off. I was upset when they yanked her leash last August during the Romney convention. They had using her employment with them to belittle her.
