Predictable, but not stupid.
I’m convinced that they’re attempting to create more of these via copycat using an onslaught of new and explosive, “School Shooting,” reports every day. Doing this, they believe, will turn the public’s eye to the point where they’re DEMANDING gun control.
But, you probably already know this.
Still, I’m calling sheriffs and elected folks as often as I can.
Perhaps I should also call the media.
Asking them why they’re creating more of these incidents...
More info for the thread.
There were 2 20-story jumpers that I knew about at the office tower I worked at for 3 years. One did a swan dive inside and a few years later, one jumped from the top of the exterior. Neither suicide made the local news.
The media doesn't cover every event or public death. There even is a policy to silence most coverage of suicides for fear of tipping someone else over the edge.
But when someone kills his family BEFORE killing himself, that will be "nightly news" item. Even if it wasn't your neighborhood, nobody famous, etc.
A gay Democrat lobbyist in Houston was murdered in his home (gunshot) and the house set ablaze by an arsonist (initially ruled an "accident" until the autopsy revealed the bullet hole, leading to further inquiry). That death didn't make the local tv news. The investigation fell flat.
Same with the assault/murder of the spurned gay lover who initiated the whole "Lawrence v. Texas" case by calling in the phony "assault 911" call on his lover and the "new boyfriend". Someone that "famous" and you'd think the media would be interested in learning just who DID kill him (or at least noting his death, since some idiots extrapolated that it was a "gay hating" neighbor who made the original police call.
Not all death makes the news. Only that which serves some agenda.
Meanwhile a rise in break-ins, armed robbery, identity theft, and other crime doesn't make the news.
