Lucas is still mourning for Rocket, and he’s down to 8 pounds. The vet said his blood work is in normal ranges, but his creatine is approaching the upper limit, so his kidneys will need some attention, even though his BUN is well within normal.

The office clerk called yesterday and said that he has no parasites in his stool. That gave me pause because the stool sample we gave them was to test for liver insufficiency, which I told the woman. She quickly ended the call, saying that the doctor would let us know.

Of course he has no parasites! He has never set foot outside of any of our houses, and he has lived in five* of them. He has been inside or in a kennel/carrier all his life, and he has never had so much as a flea. We have carefully quarantined all new additions to the cat family over the years. All of our cats are very precious to us.

IDIOT office clerk. Makes us wonder what tests were actually done on his stool! Dear Lord. I hope some of his stool was retained for the proper test, or that the IDIOT got it wrong.

Of course your homes are clean! I have no doubt. We won’t talk about mine. LOL.

We lost our Nimh due vet incompetence. He was diabetic. I looked up the symptoms and he had every single one and our vet of 20 years missed them all.

We're looking for a new vet.

I'll pray for Lucas.
