Sort of reminds one of the adulation heaped upon Der Fuhrer by the German (and I might add some of the American) press in the 30’s. Hitler was the man, the father figure, the all knowing all loving provider of everything good for the German volk, until the trains started running full to the east on a regular basis but for some unexplained reason always came back rather empty.
This segment is primarily about the nazi youth but if you watch closely you’ll see a quote from the NY times praising nazi Germany as a peaceful and prosperous nation.
