I don’t own assault rifles but I do own a couple of MSR’s (Modern Sporting Rifles).
I used to use an “MSR .22” for squirrel hunting. It held 16 rounds.
I own lot’s of military assault rifles, the oldest one is an 1859 3-band Enfield. The mass carnage it wraught at places like Antietem and Gettysburg was unbelievable.
Interestingly, all of those “assault rifles” were also “defensive weapons”. The Swiss never attacked anyone, so their select-fire rifles are obviously not assault weapons.
Trying to define some weapons as “offensive” and others as “defensive” is stupid, as it is a matter of intent, not design. Even mace and stun guns are used offensively when that is the intent. In fact, a woman is probably more easily zapped and tossed into a trunk, than threatened into doing so with a gun.
