what kind of work did your parents do?.....working primary care nurse in a extremely busy acute care hospital is not a job most 40 yrs old could handle let alone a 65 yro.

I worked as a primary care nurse and walked those halls for twelve hour shifts that often turned into thirteen or fourteen hour shifts. I retired at fifty-nine because not only was it hard on the body, you need an extremely sharp mind. Dropping the ball just once can have serious consequences.
I am not bored at all with retirement. I find plenty to do.
