As for felons, I don’t believe we should register them,

What we're experiencing is a classic case of "They weren't coming after my rights so I said nothing". It started with keeping guns out of the hands of blacks, then felons, The list of crimes considered felonies has expanded greatly and now the people impacted is expanding some more.

Right, the disenfranchisement isn’t even limited to violent felonies. You can lose your rights if you are convicted of tax evasion or something like that, which doesn’t make any sense.
