That worked out well on his background information.Still can’t find any data on how he obtained his ss card.

I am reading between the lines here. The law is focusing on Doctors to mandatory report information on someone health. Medical professionals could effectively risk practice (kicked out of Obamacare system) if prescribe mood altering drugs without asking about guns. If you are on these drugs you are banned from owing weapons.

Psychiatric medications are psychoactive drugs prescribed for the management of mental and emotional disorders. There are six major classes of psychiatric medications:
Antidepressants, which are used to treat disparate disorders such as clinical depression, dysthymia, anxiety, eating disorders and borderline personality disorder.[19]
Stimulants, which are used to treat disorders such as attention deficit disorder and narcolepsy and to suppress the appetite.
Antipsychotics, which are used to treat psychotic symptoms, such as those associated with schizophrenia or severe mania.
Mood stabilizers, which are used to treat bipolar disorder and schizoaffective disorder.
Anxiolytics, which are used to treat anxiety disorders.
Depressants, which are used as hypnotics, sedatives, and anesthetics, depending upon dosage.
In addition, several psychoactive substances are currently employed to treat dependence on other substances. These include acamprosate or naltrexone in the treatment of alcoholism, or methadone or buprenorphine maintenance therapy in the case of opioid dependency.
[i] Great the weasel investigating himself for raiding the hen house. /sarcasm
Communist Goals #26 & 27
26. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrist can understand or treat.
27. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
Drudge Headline: WAR ON CRAZY: OBAMA DEPUTIZES DOCTORS
My doc asked me that question only once. I informed him that I had spent 7 years in the US Infantry and was trained as a range saftey officer. I then informed him that I would listen to him if he could show either greater saftey experience or greater formal training and certification.
He never bothered to ask me again.
I guess drug companies did not see this one coming. Expect to see heavy lobbying.

Like members of the BATF and FBI who have exhibited any kind of aggressive discussions or behavior?
Actually #1 is pretty bad.
You will now likely have a permanent file on record w/the FBI just for exercising your constitutional right to bear arms.
This is stasi tactics. Do we do the same for exercising free speech?

I suspect when a doctor writes a perscription for anti-depressants he/she will then ask about guns , and perhaps report or record your response .
Some years ago, I was having trouble with insomnia. Doc prescribed Xanax, which was exactly the wrong thing to do. The stuff scared me so much that I only took it for a couple days before disposing of it.
Dunno if you've ever had anything like that, but you just don't.....care. Your pants are on fire? Meh. Whatever. I'm really not sure how to describe it, let alone function on it.
So....I self-prescibed Tylenol PM before bed. Problem resolved itself in short order. Suppose that I should have done that to begin with.
Is there a need for heavy duty meds like what we're talking about? Sure. But the demand, and the realistic need, are two completely different things.
...and of course there’s nothing to address the so-called “gun free zones”.
Nope, they have nothing to do with it!! /s
Maybe they could at least state “Gun Free Zones will be renamed as ‘Easy Victim Zones’”.
In a country that allows firearms due to the principle of fighting tyranny, it amazes me that liberals think they can create a “bubble world” (schools, universities, etc.) where there are no guns and no consequences.
That Being acknowledged by our Declaration of Independence as Creator and "Divine Providence," and by the First U. S. President to be "the Supreme Ruler of the Universe" only specified Ten Commandments for all people, for all situations, and for all time, and when He came to earth, He summed up those Ten as being only One great law:
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Perhaps if an American President were publicly to acknowledge, as did many previous Presidents, this basic duty of citizens toward each other, emphasizing that the duty is to the Creator and Giver of Life, Liberty, and Rights, then a new tone might be set for youth in the nation.
"Although guided by our excellent Constitution in the discharge of official duties, and actuated, through the whole course of my public life, solely by a wish to promote the best interests of our country; yet, without the beneficial interposition of the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, we could not have reached the distinguished situation which we have attained with such unprecedented rapidity. To Him, therefore, should we bow with gratitude and reverence, and endeavor to merit a continuance of His special favors ~George Washington, 1797 letter to John Adams

Re-read the list. The WhiteyHut blinked.
This is about the limpest bunch of horsehockey. The libs must pulling out their hair at this over-promoted nothingness. We may be witnessing the start of the nobama downhill slide.
The wife said they just wanted to stimulate the economy via guns and ammo sales.
#2 is rather chilling. Basically he wants to drop all HIPAA restrictions on mental health records and share them with basically anyone if it will stop a gun sale.
So, if the government can come up with a gun control bill THIS fast, why can’t they do the same with a budget?
LOL
