If they want faster response time the government should arm and deputize Dominoes Delivery Drivers. They will cook their pizza and still get there faster than the police. So rather than call 911 when you need assistance, just order a pizza.

I have no problem with cops in schools. It’s always nice to have a quick reaction force on the ground at your location.
I actually prefer requiring teachers to be armed and approved for the use of deadly force. If they aren’t willing to defend these youngsters under their care, then they have no business having responsibility for them.
Make gun and defense training and associated legal issues training a requirement for receiving a teaching license. I don’t want a hide-under-the-desk wimp responsible for my grandkids. I want someone who can put tight groupings in a 3 inch target.
