The police dispatch does not include semicolons or periods or commas. It came across the aire as "Be advised multiple weapons one rifle and a shotgun". The transcriber is adding the punctuation marks.

The officer is either singling out the rifle and shotgun as part of the "multiple weapons" -- thus the use of the word "multiple" meaning more than two. Or by multiple weapons he means the "handguns".

Either way -- the rifle is identified as being there on the dispatch within 15 minutes.

Boy, I’m telling you it is almost like you were there. I’ll tell you what. Instead of your interpretation and convuluted reasoning behind a simple statement, I’ll just go with the statement as worded, without trying to read into it things that aren’t there.

So, now “multiple” means more than 2 huh? I thought that was several or some such. Maybe he should said “a few”. You know. So i wouldn’t be so confused....
