There are a couple of states where the legislators are considering making it a felony for Federal agents to enforce gun laws. I have an additional suggestion. How about declaring those states SANCTUARY STATES for people who are facing arrest and prosecution for violations of Federal gun laws, where there was otherwise no underlying crime or act of violence.

In response to “executive actions” comments by That Guy, I reminded my distribution list with the following gem from history:

President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorized the internment with Executive Order 9066, issued February 19, 1942, which allowed local military commanders to designate “military areas” as “exclusion zones,” from which “any or all persons may be excluded.” This power was used to declare that all people of Japanese ancestry were excluded from the entire Pacific coast, including all of California and much of Oregon, Washington and Arizona, except for those in internment camps.
