One could ask Powell how many ambassadors died on his watch...which was zero. He’d sort of grin and admit that was true, but you can’t compare one era against another era. Then you’d ask him if he had ever disapproved security at any ambassador’s residence, and he’d grin and admit no.
End of story.
It isn’t so much that these 4 Americans died. Its that they died after being refused aid or support from the President of the United States.
Oh and that he put them in a dangerous situation in the first place without adequate security or defense.
