Good debate point, but please, someone, explain why we should run from such a weak opponent.

Because the "opponent" has fully crossed over to the enemy's side, and now we are fighting not only the GOP, but their ally, the DemocRATs. There no longer is such a thing as a two-party system - it is a political illusion. As things stand now, you support either, you support both.
