MORGAN: How dare you accuse me of standing on the graves of the children that died there. How dare you.Priceless.
SHAPIRO: Ive seen you do it repeatedly, Piers.
MORGAN: Like I say, how dare you.
SHAPIRO: Well, I mean, you can keep saying that, but youve done it repeatedly
Actual conversation I had:
Them: We need to ban assault weapons. They are only good for killing lots of people.
Me: What about the police?
Them: Oh the police can have them.
Me: Why? So they can kill lots of people?
Them: No, to protect themselves
Me: I thought you said they were only good for killing lots of ....
Them: I know what I said. But the police are trained to use them.
Me: Trained to kill lots of people with them?
The comments following the article criticize Shapiro for giving up too much to the Piers types, though his remarks against Morgan were well placed, but when he failed to oppose registry, outright, he drops the ball entirly. Comments claim that Ben is basically a GOP establishment guy, on the 2A, (willing to entertain the moderate/left compromises that are chipping away at gun rights).
I didn’t view the video, but proving debate prowess to nail opponents is different from actually defending 2A and we need to recognize the difference. I am speaking to my self here, btw.
Wondering if you got that drift in Shapiro on the matter of registry?
