I was asked that question several years ago when I went to a new Dr. in CA. I just told them that had nothing to do with healthcare. Also they asked a lot of other personal questions I refused to answer. I have been warning people not to answer those questions ever since.
I was comeletely cauight off guard- I was tired, and not thinking straight at the time, and I NEVER in my wildest dreams coulsd have imagined such an intrusive question liek that- I wish I had that day to do over again- and tiem to prepare my answer to them-I’m not a quick on my feet thinker when thrown oddball questions liek that- I immediately knew I had made a mistake, however, if I’m asked the question again, I will truthfully state that the guns that were i nthe hosue are no longer i nthe house (We moved fro mthe house that the guns were then in- and of course removed the guns from that house- so I’ll perhaqps even initiate the dialogue and state that there’s been an update to the gun question and make sure they write down that there are NO GUNS i nthe hosue (that I was oringimally in when they asked the question- however they won’t ned tro know that that’s what I mean)
[[I have been warning people not to answer those questions ever since.]]
I wish I had seen a similiar warnign before I made my mistake- I do now warn others abotu hte intrusive quesitons- however, apaprently in places liek NY- it’s no longer even an issue because newspapers prin t out hte actual locatiosn of all the registered guin owners- and health officials will simply go online and gfind out for themselves even if the person decliens to tell them-
A few years back one of my health care docs decided to go to work compiling a massive new electronic database for the health industry, comprised of patient info- I didn’t think much of it then, but recently after seeing cuomo’s grab for guns and forced ‘mental health evaluations’ I’m beginning to understand that this healthcare database is becoming a toll used by government officials to violate our constitutional rights-
And another thing I noted was that more and more docs were wantign to push anti-depressents on everyone- folsk woudl go in to these health care facvilities, the docs woudl examine htem, couldn’t determine what the actual problem was, and just prescribe anti-depressents to the folks for everythign from sleeping problems, to concentration problems to chronic back problems with no known cause- I didn’t undwerstand back then why docs were so pushy about issuing perscriptions for htese addictive and dangerous anti-depressents, but I’m beginning to think that the reason they were was perhaps because they were told to- so that down hte road, the government could force peopel inbto mental evaluations because they ‘ocne had depression, and may still be sufferign from it’ EVEN IF they didn’t actually have depre4ssion but were prescribed anti-depressents anyways- (So that htey can circumvent the consitution, and have peopel either committed or forced to give up a constitutional right liek the ability to own a firearm of ANY caliber or capacity, without anyone being able to contest the ‘diagnosis’.
It’s all beginnign to become clear with NY’s announcement that they are goign to require mental health evaluations for thsoe who own guns and yearly evaluations thereafter to determine the ‘fitness to continue owning a gun’. The left isn’t even coy abotu hteir intentions anymore- they just throw their blatant violations of our constitutional rights in our faces and dare anyoen to do soemthign about it- which of course noone will-
