Totally agree. A .357mag is hard to beat. Practice with cheap .38 wad cutters and load up at home with .375 Glasser safety slugs or hollow point mags.

I've read some good ballistic reviews on the Taurus using high end 3" .410 rounds. I wouldn't want to be on the business end of it.
Or, someone may want to use an FN Five Seven with a laser sight and 20 rounds of high end 5.7 x 28mm ammo:

Your method is exactly the same as mine except that you forgot the snap caps for practicing drawing and trigger control.
