The link you posted makes it clear that the Confederate states went to war to defend the institution of slavery.

obviously the public school system brainwashed you well. You completly missed the part about the northern states dictating the price of cotton and went to the immediate knee jerk default position that the civil war was all about abolishing slavery, that is not the case AT ALL, it was one issue but not the main issue. when the south tried to sell its cotton to europe the Fed sent the Navy to blockade their ports.

The north also had slaves and at least as many racists. If the southern states had been submissive and continued to feed the noprthern cotton mills at whatever prices they set, the north would have been perfectly content to continue slavery

The issue of slavery was used as a tool to control the southern states. Yes slavery is heinous its great that it was abolished . I am wasting my time with this because this was not even the point and has become more of a personal attack because I have a different opinion based on clear thinking and not public school brainwashing to salute and worship the federal government.

When gun control is enacted incrementally by Obama , you will be considered a rebel, a terrorist, an evil racist and will be shot down or jailed if you try to protest (just like the south was for protesting against tyranny)

I went to Catholic schools.

Yeah, thanks to you resorting to personal attacks.

If you consider people pointing out that you are being an apologist for racism and slavery a "personal attack," then stop being an apologist for racism and slavery.
