I agree with the whole concept of cutting aid. It’s down to $3bil a year, and that’s $3bil too many imho. One less lever to use on us.

I agree completely. You'll note that unlike his father, or any advocates of cutting aid to Israel, he conditions it on eliminating aid to not only Israel's enemies, but to countries not supportive of the US. Which if you base it on UN votes, is just about all of them other than Israel.

Of course the two dirty secrets, foreign aid isn't a significant budget issue, and the expensive aid is expensed to the defense budget.
