If financial aid to Israel were slowly decreased over time, it would increase the Jewish states sovereignty because they wouldnt need to get permission from the U.S. every time they need to defend themselves against aggressive neighbors, Sen. Rand Paul said on Monday.
Paul said that while he knows the idea of decreasing any kind of foreign aid is a minority opinion in Washington, it will be a lot harder for America to help others if we are out of money, reported Fox News.

I see no one bothered to read the article.
People's unfounded love of all things Israel has blinded them from reality. Israel isn't the bastion of freedom you think it to be.
Oh, and before I get called an anti-semite (which is the exact same thing as a leftist accusing everyone of being racist) I am PRO-Israel when if comes to rival muslim nations.

Sure you're pro-Israel.
Nobody here denies Israels problem with liberals, if that's what you mean by not being a bastion of freedom. But if otherwise, then please spare us the doubletalkespecially since Israel by comparison to the Islamic nations around it screaming for its demise is indeed a bastion of freedom.
So next time you speak of bastions of freedom, make sure you know what an actual bastion of captivity is.

This is an old position of the Israeli right.
We should not be funding them or the Arabs. And the Arabs depend on the money more than Israel. In fact, by some estimates, we end up hurting the Israelis as they need to spend more on their military to match our funding of potential enemies.

If we were the only ones doing that, it’d be a rather valid argument. Others are funding Israel’s enemies; they’ve been doing it ever since the beginning of the state of Israel too. (Incidentally, which segment of the “right”, the so-called “right-wing” anti-Zionist types?)

No one else is giving Egypt over a billion in foreign aid or hundreds of millions to Jordan. We are also giving Hezbollah-run Lebanon armored personnel carriers.
By the Israeli Right, I mean members of Herut, Likud, and more nationalist parties. Netanyahu called for an end to aid.

I dont know where you get your information from, but the European Union gave Egypt
$6½ billion in November of last year. EU aid to the Palestinians is in the hundreds of millions. And their aid to Israel by contrast is minuscule, although they do have free trade with Israel and (this does not pass the smell test) have offered Israel membership in the EU (this would mean Israel gives up its independence).

The Arabs should not get dime one, unless it is used to recruit and train an anti-PLO insurgency to whittle down Hamas, Fatah, and the various other descendants and followers of the Pedophile. Arab “leaders” from the terrorist groups who travel outside of Gaza or the West Bank should be vanished off the planet until they stop trying to play heads of state and stay put. And then reach retirement age (euphemism).
