NINE prior felony convictions? What is he doing out on the streets?

Personally I am in favor of a mandatory death sentence for any three-time felon. It would require making fewer minor offenses into felonies, of course. But surely anyone who has already served two terms of incarceration and goes on to commit a third major felony is worthy of being excised from our civilization permanently.

Part of the problem: "Childs pleaded guilty Oct. 2 to first-degree burglary. A second charge of first-degree burglary was dropped at sentencing as part of the plea deal."
Why the Hell did they give him a plea deal when they had him cold?

"Ramsey County District Judge Salvador Rosas gave Childs credit for 111 days served in jail and ordered him to have no contact with the victims."
And if he disobeys, the judge will taunt him a second time.
