MSNBC's Ed Schultz named Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown coed who told a congressional panel that students were going broke buying contraception, a "middle class hero" for advocating free contraception, Twitchy reported Wednesday.
"Even more hilarious," Twitchy said, "Fluke is boasting about it and preening."
"Thx 4 including me in 2012 heroes & allowing me 2 share my friend's story--interview feels like lifetime ago," Fluke tweeted.
According to Twitchy, conservatives on Twitter weren't impressed.
"@SandraFluke hero? What a joke! Embarrassment is more like it," one person tweeted.
"@SandraFluke what have you sacrificed to be labelled a hero? You're an underachieving grad student who refuses to pay for her own BC (sic)," added another.
"Dear God! I'm afraid this @SandraFluke chick actually believes she's a freaking hero. She needs anti-psychotics not birth control," said "Kimberly C."
In early 2012, Fluke was the center of a storm of controversy when she told congressional Democrats that some of her fellow students were so sexually active they were going broke buying contraception.
"Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school, she said.
"For a lot of students, like me, who are on public interest scholarships, thats practically an entire summers salary," she whined.
Talk show host Rush Limbaugh responded by calling Fluke a "slut." Although he apologized, the Democrat-media complex used the episode to tar Limbaugh while manufacturing a fake GOP "war on women."
Fluke also spoke at the Democratic National Convention, and drew a "crowd" of ten people when she appeared at a Nevada grocery store.
Twitchy said that one Twitter user posted a "frightening thought."
"If @SandraFluke is a national hero, we are freakin doomed," tweeted "Radioman."

Ba-dum-bump.
I really don’t give a Fluke!
Ed Stupid names Sandra Socialist...blah, blah, blah...
“Free” has to be the most misused word in relation to health care and government. If an insurance policy covers something, it is reflected in the cost of the premiums. If the government covers it, then it is either paid for through taxation or by borrowing and paying interest. The person receiving it may not be paying for it, but someone else most certainly is.
Twitchy? It that going to be Fluke’s new nickname when her diseases catch up to her??
unmarried women at a Catholic University should have no need of birth control. If they decide that they do need it, take an aspirin......hold it tightly between your knees!

If birth control were an over the counter drug Obamacare couldn’t cover it!
Only if it is a single malt :)
No one cares what ED HEAD says............
I think Special Ed would like a shot at the town bicycle.

The hero (or heroine) who stated that she has so much sex, she’s constantly running out of birth control pills and needs the government to help pay for them? What a sl...er ..hero/heroine. (smirk)
