A few days ago...I was behind a woman with a couple kids. She bought the kids..some candy of some sort...with food stamps. Then she bot a pack of cig's with cash. I dunno if the kids were her's or not....but she got in a SUV...newer than mine. WTF!?!?
Then, with gold grilles and covered in gold chains, they go out and get into 2012 Caddy Escalades, Lexuses and Chevy Suburbans etc. Just amazing.
I am a guardian and have bought snacks for the kids with their EBT/SNAP card and probably will again in the future. Should be a very small part of overall SNAP budget. Luxury and comfort foods have been evaluated many times by the Department of Agriculture and the logistical nightmare to designate them and enforce coding compliance by food producers led them to abandon an effort to exclude the sweet stuff. Should people also be prevented from purchasing raw ingredients and using them to bake cookies, etc?
