Sorry to hear about your loss.
Drs warn us about plane/train/bus/auto rides that keep us in the sitting position.
Sometimes side effects from a treatment/surgery can be a good thing. I had a knee operation two years ago, and basically the only side effect is if I sit for about two hours that knee gets stiff.
So after about an hour of sitting, I need to walk around or up a hill if there is one for about ten minutes to relieve the stiffness in my knee. My wife jokes that it would take a month to drive cross country. She is in the same boat after a major surgery and a couple of self inflicted injuries when she took unplanned trips and didn’t bounce very well. Most of our doctor friends and PT friends tell us not to ignore when our body tells us to keep moving.
We know of a few good role models, who follow the advise to keep moving. The best comes from a fellow who will make a hundred this coming year. His motto is, “I want to wear out, not rust out!”
Again sorry about your husband.
Thank-you and God Bless you for your kind words of condolences.
