Personally I think that it takes a lot more brass to live and work - and be an activist - behind enemy lines than to live in a bobblehead community. You’ve got Massachusetts and I’ve got (western) Washington and we’re both surrounded by loonies ;-)

I spent a lot of time with the DC Chapter of Free Republic since about 2004 or so...making the trip from Boston to Washington to Freep outside Walter Reed and Olney with those folks.

A more dedicated group of conservatives you will never meet.

But being outside Massachusetts and seeing areas with more conservatives such as Virginia and the Carolinas was an uplifting experience for me. You tend to forget what that is like.
