I’ve heard several reports - and seen a timeline - setting the time from Lanza’s entry to suicide as ten minutes.

Did he off himself when he ran out of ammo for the AR?

I haven't read anything to suggest that. I need to look for a particularly detailed timeline that I've seen (but neglected to bookmark).

I don't think he shot himself until the police arrived, but don't quote me.
