The recent post "I am Adam Lanza's Mother" by a woman who posts at anarchistsoccermom and animatedly advertises herself wearing an "I love Che" t-shirt is as slick a piece of exploitative propaganda as anything we've seen in the last four years. Soon after the essay went viral mom blogger Liza Long appeared on CNN and the Today show calling for a national conversation on mental illness.
After the Newtown massacre the self-described author, musician, Classicist and single mother of four felt compelled to share her own story. Long's written account of life with an out of control child focuses solely on her son. She's brutally honest when it comes to his behavior but omits any mention of several other contributing factors for his dysfunction: family dynamics, Michael's early years, Dad's behavior before the divorce and afterwards, her own use or non-use of medications and why she would pump him with psychotropic drugs when the inexplicable cause of his violent outbursts confounded everyone...did this also include family counseling, spiritual guidance, an in-depth clinical look at Mom and Dad's behavior, or traumatic events passed from one generation to the next? If Ms. Long indeed fessed up to some family secrets why doesn't she address that in her poignant, gut wrenching depiction of Michael?
Is access to treatment the problem? During a December 19 press conference the President stated as much when he said, "We're going to need to work on making access to mental health care at least as easy as access to a gun." Media accounts of Klebold's, Harris', Hui Cho's, and Holmes' and Lanza's parents suggested they had more than enough financial resources to seek out the best treatment for their sons.

She is stupid confused. Anarchy is the opposite of communism.
Tell that to anarcho-communists.
Ping to you.
A bit of a dressing-down I suppose but am interested in your thoughts.
best,
FW
I would. No government is the opposite of an all powerful government.
Thanks - I didn’t see it (obviously)
He may be getting death threats as well. Under the circumstances of death threats, it would seem reasonable to hide out and communicate only with, and through, his attorney.
The author put forth her opinion based on her experience. The experiences of therapists are as varied as the therapists themselves. It's pretty hard to quantify the subtleties of therapy, especially with a group of essentially atypical communicators such as troubled children and teens.
The devil DOES compel people to act and without seeing that, society falls back on stupid doctors and “mental illness”. That does not mean people have to act on those demon thoughts, of course...it is not an excuse nor did I propose it as one.
Lets say your standing in front of the judgement seat...God asked you if you committed such and such sin....you going to tell him the devil make you do it.....OK Hope it works, we are responsible for our own acts, putting the blame on the devil just like Adam and Eve...neither one took responsibility for their sin. Adam: the woman made me do it: The woman the serpent made me do it... Those that believe that probably has the devil laughing at them when he cannot force you to do anything....we call that free will...given to us by God and sounds like some teen ager being caught by parents doing something they aren’t suppose to do....blame it on the other guy.....
I guess you did not pay attention to my comment...it pretty much said what you wrote. Ultimately, it is up to us to go along with the demon thoughts and violence, or not. But the FACT remains, that it is demons that motivate such evil and NOT mental illness. What a bunch of idiots that believe that. Same with abortion, satan loves to murder innocents and the more the innocent, the better for him! Does he even know that those innocents go directly to heaven? I do not know, nor care....but they do!
