On the contrary, I addressed everything in post 45. Christ tells us he seeks as a shepherd the (all/each) sheep that has gone astray. He tells us that his yoke is easy and his burden is light. He reconciles us to God through his death and resurrection and our belief in him. Through him, God has made us perfect in His sight.
There is a difference between consequences on earth when breaking the law and your spiritual journey. Redemption is open to all at any point on their journey. The only sin of death is one of disbelief.
The brain is a physical organ of our body. It can malfunction just like any other part of the body. I think that young man needed medical intervention and he was failed and as a result, those children were failed.
Psychiatry is not under the sole proprietorship of Communists. If that were so, residents of communist countries would be much happier. Psychiatry can be purposed to the good of individuals who need it.
It is misused, no doubt, but it is also valuable to many. It’s misuse doesn’t diminish it’s value.
You do know that the gospel is the “good news”? We are called to spread the good news. We are not called to assign spiritual judgements, that is God’s territory. Our job is to love...to love our neighbor as ourselves. I think that means even our pissy, unwashed, crazy neighbor. I think that is much harder and can only be accomplished with His help.
I think Adam Lanza suffered and we all paid for it.

How Seasonal Holy Days Reveal God's Plan
|
I suggest you reread the bible in the light of Grace. God’s plan is to redeem his people to life everlasting in his holy presence. He revealed his plan through Christ Jesus. He made it very simple. Faith as small as a mustard seed is all it takes to find your way to Christ as Savior.
As Jesus made clear, God’s timeline is his is own and He has not revealed it to any man, including Jesus.
You are obviously faithful and have studied much. My studies have lead me to believe that we are called to proclaim Him and love much. Everything else is frosting.
I can’t help but feel sad for the little boy in Adam Lanza that did not receive the help he needed. And for his mother who didn’t know how to help him. If he were alive he should go to jail. But he’s not, he’s dead and it is not for me or you to decide his spiritual fate.
1John 5
“12 So whoever has God’s Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life. 13 I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. 14 And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. 15 And if we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for. 16 If you see a Christian brother or sister sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give that person life. But there is a sin that leads to death, and I am not saying you should pray for those who commit it. 17 Every wrong is sin, but not all sin leads to death.”
It’s important to take these snippets in context. The book of John is guiding Christians to be able to identify sin and the Law identifies it. In the very first chapter he tells us, “He is faithful to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.”
He goes on to say,1 John 3: “23 And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. 24 Those who obey God’s commandments live in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Holy Spirit lives in us.”
The only sin that leads to spiritual death is disbelief-it separates you from God.
Thank you for permission to pray for the lost.
You know, there’s also that little bit in Matthew 7:”1Judge not, that ye ben ot judged .2For with what judgment ye judge , ye shall be judged : and with what measure ye mete , it shall be measured to you again .”
God is love. It is enough.
Just a further explanation of God’s commandments as issued by Jesus:
“37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like unto it , Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Matthew 24:”36 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father.
42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.”
Why would Jesus say this and then the Book of Revelations spills the beans?
Why would anyone doubt Jesus’s word?
Wow, the whole verse reads, Matthew 12:”31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.”
A verse that confirms what I have been saying. What is blasphemy but to revile the Holy Ghost?
Thanks.
I thought that was my question.
How can you take a chapter on assurances for enduring suffering as Christians that He is faithful to us on the day of judgement and turn it into something frightful?
With Christ Jesus, we are made clean. White as snow. Acceptable to God. It is impossible for us to do it on our own. What a “Blessed Assurance”. Jesus is not for the perfect but for the imperfect.
Impeccable logic.
You will, of course, be raked over the coals.
...OF HELL!!!! Because God loves you. ;^)
