Should Michigan's governor sign a bill on is desk that would allow concealed weapons in former no-gun zones, like schools?
The question is timely for two reasons:
* Under legislation that passed the House and Senate in Michigan this week, gun owners with concealed weapon permits could carry a gun into schools, daycares, hospitals or public arenas if they get extra training. The bill is awaiting Gov. Rick Snyder's signature, according to MLive.
* And on Friday, a gunman opened fire in a school in Newtown, CT, killing at least 27 at an elementary school, including 18 children.

Please demonstrate for us who was armed at the gun free school zone who could have defended the school.
Also note that the rifle was reportedly still in the vehicle, weapons used were pistols.
So now you are going to claim pistols are the so called assault weapons?
What more law could be written that would change the situation?
at 20, the gunman could not legally own or even possess a gun in CT.
He also, due to the gun free school zone, could not legally possess one there.
Did either of those laws stop or slow down the attack?
What makes you or any other government fellator think that new laws would actually change anything?
Remember, NYC and Chicago both have extreme infringements on the 2nd Amendment, yet both have high rates of gun violence.
Do those restrictive laws slow it down at all?
Emphatically no.
Switzerland has mandatory gun ownership, very little guncrime.
Israel has armed teachers, when they armed the teachers, the muzzies quit going after schools.
Amazing how that works out, isn't it.

Indeed. “A disarmed populace is a target-rich environment” is not just a cutesy saying.
Statistics (that are not falsified by the gun-grabber crowd) show over and over again, that an armed citizenry is a huge deterrent to the sort of massacre that we saw in CT.
