The gun control, gun-free-zone fools can take a bow for this one.
The first time I went to Israel with my wife and kids in 1989, we were visiting the swimming hole at Nahal David (one of the hangouts of soon-to-be-King David in the Bible) . A busload of Israeli kids on a field trip arrived, and all the teachers and chaperones were armed. One of the parent/chaperones with an ancient hunting rifle told me that it was mandatory when chaperoning kids on a field trip to be armed. Sidearms were an acceptable option.
